About the role

Platform Architect

Design the system that everything runs on.

You will define how all components connect and interact — from mobile apps to backend services to third-party integrations — ensuring a scalable, secure, and reliable foundation for the entire product.

Job Requirements

  • Strong background in backend engineering and system architecture

  • Deep experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL

    • Event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar)

    • Database design (SQL and NoSQL systems)

    • System scalability, caching strategies, and load balancing

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)

  • Experience designing high-availability, fault-tolerant systems

  • Strong understanding of CI/CD and modern DevOps practices

  • Ability to evaluate trade-offs between performance, cost, and complexity

Nice to Have

  • Experience in fintech, trading, or high-load transaction systems

  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, containerized architectures, and service mesh (e.g., Istio)

  • Experience with event sourcing or CQRS patterns

  • Strong understanding of security architecture in distributed systems

  • Experience leading architecture in production-scale systems

Responsibilities

  • Design and evolve scalable, high-performance system architecture

  • Define system interactions across microservices, APIs, and external integrations

  • Lead architectural decisions and provide technical direction to engineering teams

  • Ensure performance, reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance across systems

  • Identify architectural bottlenecks and design long-term solutions

  • Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and product teams on system design

  • Define engineering standards, system patterns, and best practices
